florals and other plant-life from my travels and places where i've lived. i derive much satisfaction in digitographing small, and especially ephemeral things, for they tend to vary greatly from moment to moment, thus causing my recordings to be unique on that other level. there are numerous connotations regarding flowers of which i am unaware and unconcerned. i tribute the form and flow of nature.

having grown up in south-central Texas, ice and snow continue to hold a charm for me, despite the fact that i now live in the northern midwest. the world is entirely transformed with under ice and snow, and by more than just the inherent, random reflectivity. the perspective of the viewer also changes, and the monochromatic simplicity affords me the most creative options.

the transient fragility of passing clouds has always fascinated me, especially when juxtaposed to the energy clouds possess. of course, the highest appreciation for clouds is to watch their growth as they travel past. perhaps these images have managed to capture a portion of what i admired about them as i stood beneath their shadows.

images which do not accurately fit the other categories, and which tend to represent the occasional opportunism of having a camera in hand at the right time. these are not necessarily grab-shots, but they normally come about when i least expected something photogenic to cross my lens. there is thus a sincerity to these that has a special place in my heart.
