Artist’s Note: Captured early one evening, shortly after we moved out here to the northern plains. Although this storm was rather distant, the winds from it were quite strong. Although this is not a simple retouching for contrast and clarity, the editions to the base digitograph are relatively simplistic and serve only to heighten the feeling of strength in the storm-cloud. |

Artist’s Note: Sometimes, focusing on only a portion of the clouds above my head makes a more striking image than a wide-angle review of the entire skyline. This particular digitograph required some careful maneuvering to capture from a cow pasture. Another example of my black-and-white layering technique to enhance the focal point of the image, this is also representative of the maximum amount of time spent in experimentation to arrive at one version. It was edited across three separate versions of PhotoShop. |
