Artist’s Note: Captured at sunset after three long days of hunting pheasants with my brothers-in-law, this view greeted us as we began to head home for the night. This version has had only one Nik Software filter applied: Cross-Process C04, which deepened the blues and made the orange more vibrant in what I considered to be a very pleasant way. The air in truth was rather hazy and smoky due to the burning of a recently-harvested corn-field, which also contributed significantly the vibrancy of colors in the lower atmosphere. |

Artist’s Note: This image, part of the “Shadows of the Evening” version set, is one of the strongest manipulations I’ve applied to one of my digitographs to date. The combination of filters happened somewhat by accident, but bring a striking clarity to the image that allows it to work with more than just other winter images. |
