  • Media: Fine art matte, linen, or canvas is recommended.

Artist’s Note: Captured on an overcast and breezy day near our former residence in Camarillo, CA, hand-held. Callas are my wife’s and my favorite flowers, and these large ones actually attracted us to the neighborhood when we were house-hunting. They were just starting to turn, and thus required a good deal of retouching, so there is not an unretouched version available. This was one of those digitographs which I envisioned in the 2:1 aspect from the beginning. This version came about while printing a copy of the original version, “Whitewash”. I was also running a print of “Wisteriance”, and I realized that the same basic technique could be applied to “Whitewash”, and with much less complex of a mask. So, I did, and as simple as that, “Whitewash Revisited” became my preferred version of this piece.
